Kids’ ride-along options are only available with multi-speed bikes. Why Sanibel is one of the best places in Florida to ride
26 miles of dedicated paved path. Sanibel's Shared Use Path runs the length of the island, from Lighthouse Beach Park in the east to the Blind Pass Bridge in the west, and continues onto Captiva. It's separated from traffic almost the entire way. Very few places in Florida have anything like it.
It's completely flat. There isn't a hill on the island. That means a one-speed cruiser is genuinely enough bike for most people, and riders who haven't been on a bike in years manage fine.
You'll skip the parking problem. Beach parking on Sanibel is limited and paid, and in season the lots fill by mid-morning. On a bike you ride straight up, lock it, and walk onto the sand. Park once at our store — free — and you won't move the car again all day.
You see more at bike speed. Alligators, roseate spoonbills, herons, ospreys and gopher tortoises are all regular sights from the path. At 30 mph in a car you miss nearly all of it.
The whole island is reachable. Lighthouse Beach is about 4 miles from our shop, Ding Darling about 3, the Blind Pass Bridge about 7, and Captiva village about 11.5. Everything worth seeing is a ride away.

Delivery is $10 to Sanibel and $25 to Captiva, round trip, with a two-day minimum. We deliver to every property on both islands.
No deposit, cancel anytime. If it rains we'll shift your rental period rather than refund it.
